Abstract:
In patients with chronic respiratory insufficiency (CRI) the parameters of Acid-Base Status and degree/form of CRI have been determined. Decreased level of ionized Ca has been found without statistically significant differences between the groups with Acid-Base Status and ventilation homogeneity disturbances. Correlation has been found between the levels of ionized Ca, pO2 and O2sat important for the diagnosis and treatment of the patients with CRI. Pathogenetic mechanisms of Ca metabolism disturbances have been discussed.
Keywords: Chronic respiratory insufficiency (CRI), Ionized calcium, Acid-Base status, pulmonary ventilation.
